At Duckworth Development, our process begins with you the client and your dreams for the project at hand. Collaboration is key to each of our projects, and we have procedures in place to take the stress away from the entire process.
From the start, we work hand in hand with the client to determine and understand their ideas and the intended use for their dream building. Our team then maps out every step of the project from concept to design, permitting, construction, and eventually move-in and shares this plan with the client. We consult with the client and help them to identify the best architect to fit their needs, personality, and working structure. We will work along side the architect as the design progresses to produce budget estimates and openly communicate the numbers with the client.
We have excellent relationships with local authorities and communicate effectively with them about code and permits during the concept and design phases. As soon as the project is permitted and underway, we schedule monthly Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings to ensure that construction is on schedule, and that budget and any applicable information for owner and designer is communicated face-to-face. We consider these OAC meetings to be incredibly vital during the project process so that we know that every project is right on target. As the project wraps up, we will collaborate with the client to coordinate move-in and operation of the new facility.
Through it all, Duckworth encourages the client to be as involved as they want to be. We are able to be flexible with our structure and communication methods to best meet the personality and preferences of the client.
